| Asia 2000 is
the oldest of our imprints. It originates with the magazine Asia 2000
that we first published in 1980. The magazine was about the future of
Asia. We could not make a go of it so decided to publish books. At the
time it did not occur to us that we would still be doing so when the

2000 crossed
the horizon of the present and quickly receded into the past. So it
goes. In the more than two decades that have been intervened, the Asia
2000 logo has graced the spine of a wide variety of books and even
known its share of controversy. The Asia 2000 list now comprises |

categories: Illustrated Books,
Current Affairs & History,
Travel,
Language & Culture, and Memoir & Biography. The list grows
