Agnes Chen went straight from The Chinese University of
Hong Kong with a degree in Journalism and Communication to a staff
photographer's job at the Hong Kong Standard. But after a
little over two years, she struck out on her own as a freelancer and
now works internationally for a variety of publications and
advertising agencies. Chen discovered photography as a mean to fulfill
her love of adventure, her love of knowing the unknown and as a means
of expression. She sees photography as a way of helping the plight of
the deprived and unfortunate. Young, daring, determined and energetic,
she sees herself as having set out on a long journey to explore the
world with her handy mechanical pal, the camera.
Agnes Chen collaborated with
Robert Stone and
Barry Lowe on China Now.
