Ram Krishna Bantawa

Shrill Mist

A resident of Hong Kong since 1997, Ram Krishna Bantawa is a writer and lyricist well known to a wide audience in his native Nepal. He started writing at the age of 21, publishing his first novel, Kharani, in 1988. His drama, Asiskha’s Pratiphal (1995), won him the award of an honorary membership at the Art Academy of Nepal in 1998. Shrill Mist is his first work in English and evolves from his novel, Mother and Daughter, written in Nepali. The goal of his creative work is to awaken all women from their sleep in the shadowy fringes of Nepalese society.
